America’s military is under attack. It is under attack from an enemy it cannot defeat by military force. This deadly enemy is not the Taliban or China or the Iranian mullahs; it is an enemy within the military itself.
Matthew Lohmeier was a 15-year military service man, a Lt. Colonel, and commander In the Space Force newly created by President Trump. The task of the Space Force unit he commanded was to identify ballistic missile launches.
On May 24th Lt. Colonel Lohmeier was summarily removed from his command, and on DATE, he was kicked out of the Space Force and stripped of his pension. His crime? Self-publishing a book describing the new military training required of recruits and protesting it.
He was protesting a military training that was the reverse of his own, and the reverse of how the military had been training its recruits for hundreds of years. Instead of unifying them as a fighting force, it divided them. It divided them against each other by race and political affiliation.
Instead of making them proud of the country they were risking their young lives to defend, it taught them that America was a “white supremacist” nation and had been since its alleged origins in 1619. It taught them that white supremacy and systemic racism were accurate descriptions of America today. But the date 1619 was as fictional as the claim that the nation founded in 1776, which dedicated its citizens to the proposition that all are created equal, and outlawed the remnants of systemic racism in the South in 1964, and which elected an African American president twice was nonetheless “white supremacist” and racist.
Everything Lt. Col. Lohmeier had been taught at the Air Force Academy and in his boot camp training taught him that instructing soldiers to distrust each other because of their politics and race was bad military doctrine and against good military practice. It would undermine unit cohesion, and the unity of the entire force; it would undermine fighting morale and fatally weaken the military’s ability to defeat its enemies.
This new military order that Lohmeier resisted and exposed, was responsible for what former British prime minister and fervent American ally Tony Blair called the “imbecilic” decisions made by the Biden administration during the Afghanistan withdrawal.
In the late spring of 2021, the American military abandoned $90 billion in military equipment and multiple multi-billion dollar air bases, to start the withdrawal. Inexplicably, America’s military leaders withdrew their troops first, and only then attempted the unguarded evacuation of civilians left behind enemy lines. They turned the security of the country over to the tender mercy of the Taliban terrorists, which led directly to the Taliban-enabled murder of United States marines.
America’s current military leaders turned a twenty-year victory in Afghanistan, where twenty-six hundred American soldiers held the entire terrorist force at bay, into the most humiliating defeat in American history, endangering not only the lives of those left behind in Afghanistan but of every man woman and child in America.
Something has gone terribly wrong with our military leadership. Matthew Lohmeier is one of only a handful of servicemen who have had the courage and patriotism to stand up, step forward and resist it. That is why the testament contained in this pamphlet is so vital for every American citizen to read and act on.
